The CWHL is the most elite women’s hockey league in the world, where the best female hockey players in North America and the world compete. The CWHL consists of five teams, Brampton, Toronto, Boston, Montreal and Calgary.
The Brampton Thunder have been the model franchise for women’s hockey in North America since its inaugural season in 1998-99. The Thunder are a proud part of the Brampton community, and the players are proud to be role models for aspiring athletes in Brampton and throughout Canada.
Even though the CWHL is home to several Olympians, Olympic hopefuls and World Champions, what makes the league unique is that the majority of the CWHL is made up of educated and self-motivated females who have a passion for the sport and want to continue playing the sport that they love after their collegiate or university hockey careers, while also pursuing their careers in their chosen professions.
The CWHL is a semi-professional league. Our players, who train full-time and commit themselves fully to the Brampton Thunder, are not paid for their efforts. They play purely for the love of the game. With your help, we can provide them with a professional environment in which to play the game that they love and continue to inspire young athletes throughout Brampton and Canada to pursue their dreams.
We have five different levels of sponsorship but there are always more options available. We are always willing to tailor each sponsorship in order to better serve your needs. The breakdown on the following page outlines the different opportunities and promotions for each sponsorship level.
Once you come on as a sponsor for the Brampton Thunder, you become a part of the team! Every one of you is helping build our team and our league to be better each and every year. You are a vital part to the success of our club.
